Bowel problems are complications with the digestive tract. Symptoms can be painful and difficult to cope with and make bowel problems and a sex life a difficult match. Symptoms can be urgent and embarrassing to those afflicted, including gas and waste difficulties.

Crohn’s Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Ulcerative Colitis, Gastrointestinal Cancers (colon, rectal, colorectal, intestinal, stomach), and other bowel issues can complicate the sex lives of those affected. Studies have found that up to 1/3 of women with Irritable Bowel Syndrome experience problems with their sexual functioning and report that it affects their intimate relationships.
